Trump’s Violent Rhetoric

Back in Trump’s presidential nominee days, he held rallies like any presidential nominee does before the presidential election. Unlike most of our brief history’s presidential nominees, Trump created such an outrage in his own supporters’ brains that he more-or-less caused violence during his rallies. During one of these violent instances in Louisville, Kentucky, peaceful protester Kashiya Nwanguma, who was holding up a sign with Trump’s head on a pig, was continuously pushed to the back of the rally by Alvin Bamberger, a 75-year-old veteran at what he calls the “urging and inspiration” of one, Donald Trump. You can hear Trump’s rhetoric in the background while she is being pushed saying, “Get out!” and then reminiscing on a simpler time, the “old days.”

So, why am I bringing this up now? Bamberger is suing Trump on the basis that Trump promised to pay the legal fees of those who kicked protesters out of his rallies. Bamberger is being sued by Nwanguma for assault and battery, so now he’s confused at why his president wouldn’t bail him out after his promise. Hmmm.. What an odd idea. Donald Trump lied to his faithful followers. The president’s attorneys claim that his “Get out” statements were intended for security to remove protesters, an infuriating, most likely successful technique to create a gray area. Trump’s campaign is also being sued by Nwanguma and two other protesters for incitement to riot, negligence, gross negligence, and recklessness.

This is pretty much old news, only surfacing again because of Bamberger’s disillusionment. Many presidents make promises that they don’t keep. President Obama was grilled for not keeping many of his promises. I argue that Trump’s unkept promises are much harsher. The man, or snake, has no spine. He said anything to win the election and won, probably to his own dismay. Now, he is trying to run the country like his campaign, a game. It doesn’t work like that, especially when you are a sociopath with the biggest ego. I mean, the best ego, folks. It’s really a great ego.

Even though he is really only a figurehead, Trump’s rhetoric has caused blatant racism to skyrocket. Hate crimes have gone up, and people who you never thought were racist have come out of the woodworks with their hate. Hate has really been Trump’s modus operandi. God, save us all before our president decides to mess with the wrong person.
